2014? Bring It, Bitch!
Happy New Year!!! Oh, what a year 2013 has been! I know I haven't blogged much, but that's just how crazy it's been. I'm going to share a little of my year with you in pictures, as well.
The Longest Day of My Life
Was the last two hours of work before I would begin my two-week winter vacation writing extravaganza!
On New Beginnings
I said somewhere on social media recently that I've been trying to write this post for the past three weeks. Technically, I've had the idea and have been trying to write it for over a month, since I started my new job. Or really, since I found out I'd gotten hired. This should show you… Continue reading On New Beginnings
It’s Mayhem in Mexico!
Are you ready for zombies? Author Leona Bushman releases her latest zombie book, Mayhem in Mexico: Zombie Infestation on 31 October 2013 via Just Ink Press. Successful novelist and mom by day; badass zombie-killing machine by night—when it comes to the Infected, Serena Rouge knows what it takes to make the killing blow. When the FBI forces her into a Special Ops, Serena’s all well and fine with the mission . . . until her targets kidnap her children. Then, all bets are off and she’s looking to kill.
A New Book by R.C. Murphy
Author R.C. Murphy may only put out two books a year, but they are so worth the wait. In Too Deep is no different. Murphy's attention to detail never ceases to amaze me, and in this book of vampires, the detail gets pretty gruesome in that you might squirm in your seat like I did. *shudders*
Go “Into the Darkness”
Hello, my darling Minions! I've missed you so much. And I have GREAT news, but first, I have to show off this guy... Isn't he awesome? Fumangoddess gave him to me when we went to see RIDDICK Thursday night (and yes, I'm working on a review for that). But for the GREAT news! Just Ink… Continue reading Go “Into the Darkness”
Formatting 101
Formatting is very simple, but if you're not familiar with MS Word, I'd suggest "playing around" with all its functions or taking a class to learn it better before you begin hacking your or someone else's book to pieces. I've been working with word processing programs for the better part of 20 years and most… Continue reading Formatting 101
Back in the Swing of Things?
I can't remember the last time I sat down and worked--actually worked--on a story. Over July 4th weekend, I went down to Tucson for a "writing retreat" to visit Kitty, but did I get any writing done? Nope. Plotting, yes; writing, no. On the bright side, I did some research and figured out the plot… Continue reading Back in the Swing of Things?
Book Reviews 101
Let's talk about book reviews for a moment, shall we? Grab some coffee. This is a long lesson. You picked up a book, you read it, you loved or hated it, and now you'd like to write a review on it for whatever reason you may have. Maybe you enjoy writing book reviews. Perhaps you're good… Continue reading Book Reviews 101
