My Life in ….

HA! Fooled ya! I’m not going to say Hell. Oh damn it, I just did. Okay, let’s start with Hell and see where it goes…

1. Last week was the week from Hell, but at least it ended on a good note.

2. The picture above was taken Saturday night at IHOP (and specifically for my Ozzy) after spending an evening out with Kitty, sweetheart Desiree Devine, and the lovely Ms Dawn P. Even though I was in a great deal of pain, I enjoyed myself, though the amount of alcohol I consumed didn’t touch my pain.

3. It sucks not being a lightweight sometimes.

4. It also sucks because it costs quite a bit to get me drunk, which is nearly impossible when I’m wracked with pain.

5. I’m cool with that, however, because I don’t like getting “drunk,” per se. I just like enjoying myself with a good buzz. It’s not like I drink a lot anyway.

6. The pinched nerve still hurts like a mother …. But it’s getting better, very slowly.

7. I’m just happy I was able to shave my legs last night. That’s quite an accomplishment when one is in my condition. Seriously, you have no idea. That’s like cause for celebration, hence the first drink of last night being a Buttery Nipple shot, followed by an Irish Car Bomb, a Guinness, a Blow Job shot, and a tall and strong vanilla rum and coke that I sucked down quite fast. Yeah, barely got a buzz off all of that.

8. On a side note (as if there aren’t already several), I’m selling a few things on eBay. Go on over and take a look.

9. At the moment, I’m having comfort issues. Trying to get in a comfortable position on this damn sofa with the pain that I’m in just so I can have this laptop on my lap and type normally is a bitch.

10. The laptop has now moved back to the table, which will cause a considerable amount of mistypes and I’ll have to backspace every other word, which I just did.

11. One of these days, I’ll give you more info on Ozzy, and I’m not talking about Ozzy Osbourne.

12. Let’s just say that he makes me a very happy Jinxie, even if he is across the pond.

13. And crazy, silly man that he is has created an account for Moon on Twitter.

14. It’s hysterical.

15. Another side note: Akhi was in a car accident last week. He’s fine, but Umi‘s car didn’t fare so well. It’s totaled, so now my mother is without a vehicle. Just lovely. There isn’t much I can do about it, though.

16. I’ve been attempting to edit NEMESIS, but the pain meds I’m on make me very drowsy, especially when I start reading. I’ve already almost nodded off several times while writing this post, which should explain to you why I haven’t been writing blog posts lately.

17. So … since I’ve been injured and on copious amounts of meds that make me sleepy and fuzzy in the brain, I’m extending my NEMESIS deadline a bit. I’ll let you know once I begin again and then I figure we’ll give it two or three weeks. Sound good? Okay.

18. I’m going to say g’night now before I pass out on my keyboard like Kitty does sometimes. =p

19. But we’ll round this list off to 20.

20. By saying that Ozzy is the reason I’ve been all giggly and giddy for the last several weeks. That’s a good thing, since those of you that know me know that’s a rare occurrence. =D

Deja Vu Anyone?

1. The pinched sciatic nerve in my left hip is, well, pinched again. And it hurts like a mother … No, really. Unless you’ve experienced a pinched nerve, you have no idea of the amount of pain I’m in right now.

2. Oh yes, we’ve been here before. Remember? The reason I lost my last job. Deja vu, I’m tellin’ ya. Hopefully this won’t continue down that same path.

3. I won’t even go into the ex regarding the whole me being injured thing because this will turn into a rant.

4. However, I have Tramadol now … because the Percocet and Diazepam weren’t really working.

5. Why the ER gave me Diazepam, I have no fucking clue. I know it’s Valium. Yes, there might be some anxiety issues there, which is making my back one giant knot, but I need a muscle relaxer! Last time they gave me flexeril. That’d be nice. Those worked.

6. Off topic … the distraction now has a nickname  – Ozzy. If you know who I’m talking about and you’ve seen his Twitter avatar, you’ll understand why.

7. Obviously, he’s an Ozzy Osbourne fan.

8. He’s also a musician. Yes, he’s taller than me. We know how important that is. Why? Because Jinxie loves her high heels. *giggles*

9. He also shares entirely too many of the same qualities as my cousin Lo-Lo’s boyfriend, including their name.

10. However, Ozzy is still a damn distraction, even while I write this blog post.

11. My ADD is working overdrive right now because I’m essentially stoned out of my mind with these meds: Tramadol, Percocet, Diazepam, and something else I can’t remember the name of.

12. I think it’s cracking Ozzy up … we’ve been on the phone throughout this blog post and my stonedness.

13. So let me tell you what sucks about the fact that he’s on the other side of the Atlantic.

14. Timezone. It’s a bitch now that I’m working. It’s going to be even more of a bitch when he starts a new job tomorrow. We’ve figured out that he’ll be at work while I’m sleeping and he’ll get off work when I start my job in the morning. This really doesn’t leave us any time to talk during the week.

15. Which means I may be a cranky bitch this week if I can’t hear his voice.

16. Oh, let’s just face it … I’m a cranky bitch anyway.

17. So it might be worse. I’d suggest a fallout shelter if you have one.

18. I’m kidding.

19. I need to go work on my Nemesis edits now. He and the kitty both have me on a deadline, which is coming up very quickly and I haven’t been alert enough to work on it the past few days.

20. Oh, and … OMG I found a guy who enjoys reading my stuff!!!!! SQUEEEE!

Le Sigh

Several things going on right now.

First, I just removed a few people from my Facebook because really, they have no reason to be on my friends list outside of the fact that we shared a friend, who is no longer a friend … so there you go.

Second, I’m back to editing NEMESIS again … thank the gods! I need to get this queried and repped already. Someone’s inspired me recently by reading it and after hearing his reactions, I’m diving back in.

Third, I apologize for the lack of blogging (on ALL blogs). Working has me completely drained by the time I get home and I’ve recently had a bit of a distraction carry me until bedtime (yes, who would also be the inspiration). Honestly, I just can’t think lately, I’m so freakin’ tired. I’m surprised I’m even writing this post. And yes, the distraction has even distracted me from Twitter. *gasp* I know, shocker.

Fourth, I should just start using actual numbers at this point.

5. I just ran out of things to say.

6. Oh wait! So, I like the new job. I just need to get my sales up. This has me a bit concerned.

7. I apparently don’t qualify for short and long term disability without an Evidence of Insurability form, which will come back as me being un-insurable, but seriously, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of having to QUALIFY for short and long term disability insurance. If you know my medical history, you’ll understand why I’m in tears. But I did figure out all of my health insurance info – which has a 12-month wait policy on pre-existing conditions. Another reason for me to be in tears.

8. I’m also in a great deal of pain right now and quite cranky on top of that. It’s turning out to be a not-so-great day. But someone just woke up and messaged me, so that has me smiling. Too bad he’s on the other side of the Atlantic.

9. My paycheck this week is almost entirely EXTRA! You know what that means … that’s right, SHOPPING!

10. Okay, so I’ll be saving a chunk of it too. I’m getting my passport soon. Also the distraction’s fault. I don’t have a nickname for him yet for my bloggy-type stuff. As soon as I come up with one, you’ll be informed immediately, but I’m kind of liking “distraction” right now. LOL

11. And saving to move in a year or so. Where? Hoping for Nashville. We’ll see.

12. Umi is still not thrilled about this, however, when I mentioned Kentucky, she lit right up because her mind immediately went to the Kentucky Derby. She HAS to watch that race every year. We even bet.

13. She also said she knows it snows there because it says so in some of the books she reads.

14. I promise you, my mother truly isn’t as insane as she sounds.

15. Well, maybe a little.

16. Or it’s just that she drives me to the brink of insanity.

17. Like today … when I decided I needed to call her. God only knows why.

18. And on that note, I’m going to work on the twins’ blog. Hopefully I can post something over there tonight for Monday morning.

Just So You Know…

I have several posts coming up soon. I just need to find time to write them … which is not right now. Nope, right now I’m in ninja mode … super secretive stuff. Can’t tell you because then I’d have to kill you and neither of us wants that, right?

I’ll be back. Yes, imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice when you read that, although, he’s not a ninja. He’s just a big muscle-bound terminator governor.

Um, yeah.

Laters.
