My gut twists

In agony

Knots tightening

Bile rising

I’m trapped in this

Nightmare

Of broken dreams

That never end

Eyes shut tight

Stinging with pain

Light eluding

Darkness suffocating

The words have disappeared

Fading truths untold

And I’ve bared my soul
