I hope your holiday is bright, cheery, and warm, and that you receive all you wanted this holiday season.
For the first time in the past five years, I am happy on this Christmas Eve/Day. Happy because I can give. Happy because Umi is happy and doing well. And because I am in a much better place than I have been. The pain is minimal now, thanks to my wonderful doctor, Dr. Katy Firisin. She did in two months what others were not able to do in several more months. I can stand for two hours without feeling pain or having it come back at me later. I can function normally, and to me, that is one of the greatest gifts I could ever hope for. So thank you, Dr. Firisin, for your amazing skills.
I can only hope that all of you beautiful, wonderful people are as blessed as I am this Christmas. Merry Christmas, from Umi and me.
