Skip A Starbucks Day Pre-Post

By now, you’ve likely seen me tweet about this a few times with the hashtag #skipastarbucksday or mention it on Facebook. What is it? Well, let me tell ya…


Skip A Starbucks Day is right around the corner – Monday, August 23rd. On this day, I am asking you to skip your Starbucks. I know this will be difficult for some of you – me included – but here’s the reason I’m asking you to do this: My dear friend CJ Redwine and her husband Clint Redwine are in the process of adopting a beautiful little girl from China. They need to raise around $8,000 for the rest of the fees. I’m asking you to skip your Starbucks and donate at least the $5 you’d spend there on that particular day to help bring a little girl home to her new family.


And here’s what I’m going to do for you: For those who donate, we’re having a grand giveaway!


On Monday at 7:30am, a post will automatically appear here on this blog, and within it’s bloggy goodness will be all the details of this wonderful event with links to CJ’s blog (like the one above) and other authors/writers who are participating in this. Also, I will include Clint and CJ’s story so you can get to know them and the reasons they’re doing this (but who really needs a reason other than they’re giving a child a home and a chance) and I’ll let you know what MY prizes will be. Yes, there will be pictures. =)


So be ready Monday morning, folks! Save that $5 you’d spend at Starbucks, drive on by, and donate it to this wonderful cause.
