Playing in iTunes: I Will Possess Your Heart by Death Cab for Cutie
So, my friend Dylan (he’s a filmmaker) and I decided to go for this contest that’s happening at the end of the month. It is the 3-Day Novel contest. Yep, exactly what it says there. A novel, written in 3 days, running from August 30th to September 1st. CJ Redwine thinks I’m crazy. I think she may be correct. But hey, it’ll be one helluva challenge. The major challenge is coming up with an idea that will flow like Dusk of Death did for me. We figure we can sleep about 12 hours on the middle day, if needed. Oh, it’ll be needed. I can usually stay up for at least 36 hours straight without a problem, except that I look like hell. The tricky part will be finding a quiet place to write during the day when it’s hot outside. I usually write on my patio, a place I call my Sanctuary, at night in the wee hours (because my schedule allows it) with my misting system and fan going, and the contest falls right in the middle of my vacation, which is perfect timing! Hell, I’m excited about it. Anytime an idea pops into my head lately, I jot it down in my Word file for Story Ideas or in my little notebook that I carry everywhere with me (sorry, Sio, I haven’t gotten as sophisticated as you by using my OneNote, a program I gave you–LOL–but it is a good idea). I have a few so far, as this contest was a recent discovery. So, all I’ll have to do is make sure I get my assignment done for class before the contest begins. Shouldn’t be a problem if I have my book by then. I’m taking Multicultural Literature this term, and something online but I haven’t decided what yet.
Anyhoo, check out the contest. Looks like it’ll be fun! =)
